LACEF strategically aligns with St. John’s through the lens of our Stay Well Learn Well® School Health Initiative. LACEF has made a substantial investment to improve the health status and future wellbeing of more than 36,000 students and adults through partnerships and a $250,000 Stay Well Learn Well® School Health Center Initiative grant to St. John’s Well Child and Family Center at Compton Unified School District’s Dominguez High School.
LACEF’s grant funds will enable St. John’s Well Child and Family Center at Dominguez High School to reach and serve Compton’s low income children, adolescents and adults with an array of primary care services, including preventative health screenings, medical examinations, dental care and mental health counseling. The Dominguez High School’s health center offers more than 138,000 health care visits per year.
